My Paradise Hometown - Siesta Key, Florida

When you feel good about the place that you live and work, you naturally want to share the experience with others. I live and work in a special place, Siesta Key, Florida. This is truly a paradise in every sense of the word; a place where there is magic all about you. A place where you can escape from it all and just be yourself. When I first discovered Siesta Key, I dreamed that one day I would live and work on this fantastic island off the coast of Sarasota. I spent a fabulous week enjoying the beach, boating, diving, fishing, "pub crawling" and great company. The sand on the beach is pure white quartz crystal, and the Gulf water is a stunning azure color, clear and clean. As my flight lifted of the runway at the SRQ airport I peered through the aircraft window and below was a tropical landscape of swaying palm trees, crystal clear blue/green water, and miles of pristine beaches. I vowed to return, and here I am now. (No more snow!!!) My dream came true. I left my corporate job in Atlanta and moved here full time. I found a waterfront home at a great price, with pool, dock, and outrageous views on the south end of the island. I have a boat and can walk to the beach. My office is located on the north end of the island. Prices for homes and condos are dropping every day. The Florida Homestead Exemption has just been upgraded and is going to the voters this January. There is no state income tax in Florida.
